Generally, we are using double breeder cages where you can divide the cage in two so you can initially separate the male from the female. When the divider is removed, you have a spacious breeding cage and later on can use for a flight cage for the fledglings. The breeder cages measure 24x16x16 or 30x18x18 inches. I use plastic nests that can be used year after year and shredded burlap that you can purchase by the yard then wash, dry and cut into 3 inch pieces and shred.

I an currently using Bogena that actually does a better job in covering the wings the first year. You can purchase this product on the internet. There are a couple of suppliers, contact me for that current info.
